Characteristics

One of the features that has been most strongly emphasized in the design of the SIMTRA software is its great versatility when it comes to modeling the right vehicle for each transport situation that arises for the user. Already in this first version of the program, the configuration of vehicles with an intermediate trailer for heavy elements is possible, as well as the possibility of retrofitting a vehicle with a Dolly-type rear platform, i.e. without an intermediate chassis. This last feature is gradually being used more and more in the transport of wind turbine blades.

The use of SIMTRA does not require downloads and/or image mosaics, as it is used on orthophotos from different image providers (Google, ESRI, MapBox, PNOA, etc...). The application also allows the user to add layers width TMS, WMS or WTMS services.

Additionally, georeferenced raster image files can be inserted, these being: drone flights, topographic data collection or vector layers.

Optionally, the floor plan simulation can be coordinated with Street View images, for which an API key obtained with a Google Cloud Platform account must be configured in the application.

SIMTRA supports reverse manoeuvers.

The use of the application by means of a Tablet or laptop provides enormous work mobility since, with a suitable internet connection, traffic simulations can be carried out "in situ", i.e. in the area where any type of action is planned.

By establishing a connection between mobile phone and tablet/laptop, the application is already available. This 4G (hotspot) connection is feasible in virtually all parts of the country, no matter how far from urban centres or road areas to be checked.

The application works in UTM coordinates, datum WGS84 Web Mercator (EPSG 3857).

• Carrying out feasibility studies at road bottlenecks.
• Checks of access/exits of commercial seaports.
• Review of the layout of roads in civil works projects for wind farms.
• Analysis of compromised access situations.
• Evaluation of different transport alternatives.

Civil Works / Electrical / Industrial sector:
• Transport related to construction projects of any kind; structures for roads, hydraulic works, solar plants, etc...
• Transport of large electrical components (transformers, etc.).
• Transport of large boiler parts
